We’re excited to offer our vendors the opportunity to showcase their work and promote their business through our Instagram takeover feature. This is a great way to connect with potential clients and reach a wider audience on social media. Please read the guidelines below before applying for an Instagram takeover.
Guidelines
Eligibility
To be eligible for an Instagram takeover, you must be a vendor listed on the Santa Barbara Wedding Guide website.
Application
If you are interested in taking over our Instagram account, please send an email to sbwg@goletavoice.com with the subject line “Instagram Takeover Request”. In your email, include your name, business name, website, and proposed date(s) for the takeover.
Approval
We will review all takeover requests and notify you within [insert timeframe] if your request has been approved. Please note that we reserve the right to decline any requests that do not meet our guidelines or standards.
Content
During the takeover, you will be responsible for creating and posting content to our Instagram account. This can include photos, videos, and Instagram Stories. All content must be wedding-related and must not include any inappropriate or offensive material. Please also avoid any excessive self-promotion.
Timeframe
Takeovers typically last for 24 hours, from 12:00 am to 11:59 pm. You may post as often as you like during this time, but please note that we may also share your content to our own social media channels.
Promotion
We encourage you to promote your Instagram takeover to your own followers before and during the takeover. We will also promote the takeover on our own social media channels.
Tagging
Please make sure to tag our Instagram account (@santabarbaraweddingguide) in all of your posts and stories during the takeover. You may also tag your own business account.
Takeover content ownership
You will retain ownership of all the content that you create and post during the takeover. However, by participating in the takeover, you grant us permission to share and repost your content on our own social media channels and website.
