Island View Catering is a locally owned and operated company started by three UC Santa Barbara graduates in 2008. Our core goal has been building a crew of kind-hearted professional staff who works as a family and approach every client as part of our family. We strive to be that amazing Aunt or Uncle of yours that makes amazing food you call on for the big and important events in your life. Our focus on customized service in all aspects of our work means that for large events and weddings, we serve only one client per weekend to devote our entire crew and resources, just as a family member would. Over the years, we have worked in most venues across Santa Barbara county and beyond, from Santa Ynez to Lompoc, Montecito to Santa Maria and beyond. We have the experience and expertise to create freshly prepared meals of any scale in any location, from a grand banquet hall to a grassy knoll on the top of a mountain. We are not a standard "cooked the day before and delivered in a hot box" caterer- we prepare your menu on-site to the fullest extent possible so that you and your guests enjoy truly fresh cuisine. We are not a restaurant with a pre-set menu; we are YOUR private chef service and everything we do, from custom menu creation to the design of your service style and bar, is 100% up to you. "House-made" is all we do, from freshly baked bread and secret BBQ rubs to freshly prepared sauces, vinaigrettes and Chef Linda's hand-made desserts. We are local and source local and organic wherever possible from our amazing local growers and producers. For grilled selections such as our signature Santa Ynez style Tri-Tip, we bring our red oak and mesquite fired trailer grill to your venue so that everyone can enjoy the smells all day leading up to your feast! Our close-knit team of chefs and cooks melds years of experience in multiple culinary fields with the best ingredients and beautiful presentation – from simple gourmet twists to old favorites like mac & cheese to cutting-edge signatures such as our signature chipotle boysenberry sauce. Our service staff are dedicated and professional, led by our Head of Staff with over 30 years of experience tending to every unique need to carry out flawless events. Our bartenders are creative, friendly and efficient- no lines at the bar at our events and smiling faces all around! We are small and tight-knit on purpose. We are known for our approach to events and believe this is the only way to do business. You won't be passed off between other staff or get a second or third-tier crew- one of the owners will work hand-in-hand with you in creating and planning your event and your event will be staffed by the IVC crew- the same one that you read about in reviews from past clients.
